Michael joined Alpina in 2022 as Co-CEO and Member of the Board. He has 30+ years professional experience in the financial industry, and worked as CEO, Managing Director and Chairman for various fund management companies. He is responsible for the Alpina Fund Management’s business strategy as well for portfolio management, business development and IT.

Jens joined Alpina as Conducting Officer in September 2024 and is responsible for Compliance, AML and Complaints Management.
Before joining Alpina, he worked for many years as an auditor at KPMG Luxembourg, followed by positions as Head of Compliance and Conducting Officer in various companies in the financial sector in Luxembourg.

Heiko joined Alpina Fund Management S.A. in 2022 as Risk Manager. Prior to that, he was Head of Risk Management with another ManCo, where he entered the Luxembourg fund industry in 2009, after he gained experience in the Asset Management and related Software Industry in Germany. Heiko holds a degree in Business Administration and is CIIA/CEFA – currently he is working on a PhD thesis on Sustainability and Risk Management in the Fund Industry.

Denis joined Alpina as Fund Specialist, whereas in his role he is responsible for the internal organization and processes. Furthermore, he is helping to drive forward the company's transformation into a fully digitalized management company. Prior to that, Denis gained five years of experience in management and regulatory consulting advising market participants in various projects within the Luxembourg financial market. Afterwards he gained experience as project manager in regulatory change with focus on outsourcing management. Denis holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and recently completed a master’s degree in Information Management.

Stephan Hofer has been in banking for over two decades. Advising entrepreneurs and professional clients at IHAG Privatbank, Zürich and formerly a partner at BZ Bank, Wilen.
On the sell-side until 2015 working for Berenberg focusing on European equities, prior to that for William Blair & Company, L.L.C. focusing on US growth companies.
He also managed various mutual funds for AIG Private Bank and started his career at HSBC Private Bank (Suisse) S.A. in portfolio management.
Stephan Hofer studied Business Administration at Zurich University of Applied Sciences majoring in Banking & Finance.

Daniel is the CEO & Founder of Alpina Capital AG, where he is overseeing investment solutions within a full range of asset classes, from sustainable direct investments, to multi asset funds and alternative funds. Prior to founding Alpina Capital, Daniel spent over 17 years on the investment side, where he worked for Bank Julius Baer in the Investment Advisory and Equity Strategy. Since 2001, he worked for 14 years at Falcon Private Bank, where he had the full responsibility in managing a full range of multi asset funds, with a proven track record. Daniel spent more than ten years in the Asset Management division of the bank in the equity and multi asset team. He holds a Master of Advanced Studies in Banking & Finance from the FHNW in Zurich.
